George Bourganos, MD, FACC

Dr. Bourganos specializes in Clinical, Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. He has training in Nuclear Cardiology. He performs non-invasive testing, including stress testing and echocardiogram services in both office and hospital settings, while performing invasive cardiac catheterization and Transesophageal echocardiograms at The Westerly Hospital. In addition, he conducts pacemaker and defibrillator interrogations and ECG/Holter Monitor interpretation.

Dr. Bourganos trained at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School, Greece. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Metrowest Framingham Medical Center and then his residency at St. Elizabethメs Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He also completed his Cardiology Fellowship at St. Elizabethメs Medical Center in Boston. In addition, he holds leadership positions at The Westerly Hospital and has been the President of the Medical Staff. Dr Bourganos is a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Bourganos has office hours available in our Westerly Office. He has admitting privileges and performs consultations in addition to non-invasive and invasive cardiology procedures at The Westerly Hospital and privileges at The Miriam Hospital.
