Rita Peter-Faherty, MD, FACC

Dr. Peter-Fahertyメs expertise is in Clinical, Non-Invasive, and Preventive Cardiology. She has Subspecialty training in Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. She performs non-invasive testing, including stress testing and echocardiogram services in both office and hospital settings; in addition, she performs transesophageal echocardiograms in the hospital setting.

Dr. Peter-Faherty completed her undergraduate degree at Siena College in Loudonville, New York, and trained at Albany Medical College in New York. She completed her internal medicine residency at Brown University in Providence and then her cardiology fellowship at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She currently has teaching responsibilities at Roger Williams Medical Center in the Internal Medicine Residency program. Dr. Peter-Faherty received a モTeacher of the Year Awardヤ at Roger Williams Medical Center for her commitment to resident education. In addition, she is the CCU director at Roger Williams Medical Center and is the director of Nuclear Cardiology at The Westerly Hospital. Dr. Peter-Faherty is a Fellow of The American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Peter-Faherty has office hours available in our Cranston, Johnston, Warwick, Lincoln, Pascoag and Westerly Offices. She has admitting privileges and performs consultations in addition to non-invasive cardiology procedures at Landmark Medical Center, Roger Williams Hospital, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, The Westerly, and The Miriam Hospital.
